Hualapai Mountain Park has facilities available to accommodate groups of up to 500 people. Clubs, civic groups, churches, businesses and weddings have found this to be the ideal setting for picnics and social get-togethers. Three Recreation Areas, as described below, are available by reservation only. Security deposits are required and rent must be paid at least one month prior to the reservation date. If recreation area users choose to stay overnight they will be subject to camping fees and must leave the area by 8:00 am.
Recreation Area 1 - Ponderosa
Constructed in the 1930's, Recreation Area 1 can accommodate groups of up to 500 people. The large stone lodge features electricity, hot and cold water, sink, stove, oven, refrigerator, serving tables, two fireplaces and a kerosene heater. Outdoor facilities consist of large grills, pit barbecue, cooler, lighted ramada and picnic tables. A playground provides special fun for children, as well as a ball diamond and horseshoe pits.
Recreation Area 2 - Pine Knoll
Built in 1983, Recreation Area 2 can accommodate small groups of up to 150 people. This stone and wood lodge has electricity, hot and cold water, sink, refrigerator, stove, oven, wood burning stove and bathrooms. Outdoors there is a lighted ramada with picnic tables, barbecue, horseshoe pits and a playground area.
Recreation Area 3 - Rotary Club
Recreation Area 3, built in 1991, through the combined efforts of our local Tri-State Rotary Clubs, can accommodate up to 150 people. The log building is equipped with electricity, hot and cold water, sink, stove, oven, refrigerator, restrooms and a propane heater. Outdoors there is a lighted ramada with picnic tables, a pit barbecue, horseshoe pits and a playground area for the children.
